I am also not a resolutions person perse. I do usually try to pick a goal or two for the coming year. But I LOVE this concept of picking a word to guide the year ahead. Will definitely have to give this a go for 2025. <3 Thank you for sharing!

My goals for the last couple years have been the same. I make a goal section in my bullet journal - create, read, listen, walk, self care & gratitude. And my word for 2025 is create. Create more 'art', create better organization, create more memories, create joy (for friends, family, strangers, and...), create opportunities, create more sewing projects, etc. :)

I don't do resolutions either. My one goal this year is to knit my first sweater and I have already chosen a pattern and gotten yarn.

My word for the year is "lagom" which is Swedish for "enough". I have enough, I do enough, I am enough.

Ooh I love this. I saw some others posting about different words or phrases for the year, and I have yet to decide (seriously thinking mine might have to be “Make a Choice!” and that would be amazing for my year). Happy house hunting!

If you want to stay with a single word, maybe Decide. Or, Commit. 🤔 I like just one because otherwise I get to overthinking again, so this keeps me focused. Like a quick mantra. ◡̈

I share your fear about committing to a word for the year, so I prefer the more open-ended approach of writing some goals for myself. Last year's goal was to get to my public library every month and check out books. This year I want to use a community pool to swim off-season. YOUR WORD, however, "explore" is pretty great!

Goals are good! I have a tendency to reject them after awhile for some reason (obstinance, failure) so a word I can selectively apply helps me get to where I might have been if I’d not gotten salty with myself. ◡̈
