My kettle is not named, nor is it quite so fancy, but totally agree with the necessity of having an electric kettle. I never knew a kettle could come with so many bells and whistles! Dang!
The only appliance gift I have ever given because you specifically mentioned really wanting one and I knew you would feel silly spending that much money on a hot water maker, but if presented with one, you would gladly use it.
Maybe your kettle is Ted? He does a fine job even though he knows nothing about the actual game [of tea-making] and he makes you feel comforted & cared for whenever you need that.
They do sell loose leaf. It depends on the flavor but they do carry most in loose leaf version. Next time you're in NYC, we'll go to the store in SoHo.

My current favorite tea is from Harney & Sons. It's called Paris and it lovely.
I'm also now taking suggestions for the name of my very low tech electric kettle.
Does Harney & Sons sell loose leaf versions? I do love their flavors, too.

And oooooooo.... Ted. I'll try that out.......
I should be back on NYC for the con in October - will look into having a couple extra days to play (I want to see the Huey Lewis musical!).
